"GO ARROW" SERVICE AWARD SCHOLARSHIP
The theme of the association is “Advancing the Arrow Spirit”. As an extension of this theme, the CHSAA grants the GO ARROWS SERVICE AWARD to selected graduating seniors at Clinton High School located at Clinton, Mississippi. The scholarship grant for 2025 is $1,500 for undergraduate level studies at an accredited university or college. There are no restrictions regarding the major field of study. No restrictions or limitations in the selection process will be based on race, religion, employment status or family relations of the prospective recipient. The following items will be considered in selecting the scholarship recipient: academic standing, leadership, accomplishments, Arrow Spirit, civic/community involvement, two recommendations, and financial needs. IDA HOPE THORNTON SCHOLARSHIP
Ida Hope Thornton Scholarship is selected from graduating seniors at Clinton High School located at Clinton, Mississippi. The scholarship grant for 2025 is $1,500 for undergraduate level studies at an accredited university or college in the state of Mississippi. Applicants are limited to those planning to major in English, journalism, agriculture or majors related to agriculture. No restrictions or limitations in the selection process shall be based on race, creed, religion, or gender of the prospective recipient.
The following items will be considered by the CHSAA Scholarship Committee in selecting the Ida Hope Thornton Scholarship recipient: academic standing, leadership, accomplishments, Arrow Spirit, civic/community involvement, two recommendations, and financial need. JOHN S. WEATHERLY SCHOLARSHIP
Applicants for the John S. Weatherly Scholarship must be graduating seniors at Clinton High School. The scholarship grant for 2025 is $1,500 for undergraduate studies at accredited four-year colleges or universities in the state of Mississippi. Applicants must be majoring in Business or Accounting. BRECKEN J. ANDERSON SCHOLARSHIP
The Clinton High School Alumni Association (CHSAA) has been given the honor of administering the Brecken J. Anderson Scholarship funded by Dr. Brecken J. Anderson, who graduated from CHS in 2001 and was awarded the “Go Arrows” Service Award in the first year that CHSAA offered scholarships to graduating seniors. Dr. Anderson holds Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees in Nursing from Mississippi College and The University of Mississippi. Her work experience has included the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Children’s Hospital – New Orleans, and LHC Group, where she currently serves as Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development.
